2SLGBTQIA+ Mentorship Program

The CBA-NS SAGDA Mentorship Program is a collaboration between the CBA-NS Sexual and Gender Diversity Alliance (SAGDA) Section and the Schulich OUTLaw Society. This program is meant to facilitate informal mentorship relationships between law students and legal practitioners belonging to the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.

Judicial Mediation Program

The Nova Scotia Court of Appeal has teamed up with CBA Nova Scotia to support its Judicial Mediation Program. 

Bystander Intervention Training

CBA-NS wants to help lawyers be leaders in preventing harassment in their own profession.
The bystander intervention training began in 2020 as an initiative of the CBA-NS Sexual Harassment Working Group.

Mock Interview Program

Each year, CBA-NS partners with the Schulich School of Law to support students in preparing for articling interviews and navigating the recruitment process. 

CBA Well-being

Lawyers juggle busy, demanding schedules. Finding balance is a challenge. Our well-being initiatives prioritize lawyer wellness, from getting the mental health supports you need.

Truth and Reconciliation

Our work to understand and acknowledge the truth and engage in reconciliation is an ongoing process. This initiative is dedicated to giving CBA members an online space and resources to learn, so we can all do better.

Equal Justice

We believe that everyone deserves access to justice. Equal Justice advocates for access and improvements. Our vision is an inclusive justice system that is equally accessible to all, regardless of means, capacity or social situation.
